So here's a question about a potential rally on 4/15. We've bounced this around a bit, but now that we can post polls, let's sound off!

Someone posted some interesting ideas on the912project.com:

"... prepare a media alert and send it via fax and email to you local media a week before. A simple Who When What Where Why. This is different from a press release. That will come later. Follow up with a phone call to the news editor. Call again the day before. Keep it short - they're busy and don't call in the afternoon at deadline time. Be polite. This is the time to tell them that you have great visuals if you have people coming in costume. Follow up on the day of the event with a press release that gives short, one sentence quotes from your participants. Attached good quality photos -- high resolution and cropped properly. This is the time to follow up with a fax or emailed scan of the Tool Kit's solutions. ..."

The Daily Evergreen and that uhhh whatchamacallit Moscow/Pullman paper are options.

I think dropping lines to the media is a great idea! The question is who and what to say...
