Our Newest Board Member... Ethan Wright

Palouse 9-12ers...

Michael L. Ross has informed me that due to work conflicts, he will no longer be able to continue on the Board of Directors.

First, let me thank Michael for his leadership to date.

Second, this opens a vacancy that should be filled as quickly as possible.

Our next teleconference is scheduled for 6/17 I'd love to be able to have a vote at that time.

I would like to nominate Ethan Wright (EthanCDub on the boards) for the open Board position.

I have met with Ethan for 4 weeks now, and he has demonstrated an abundance of enthusiasm and innovative ideas on how to get our message out there. Ethan is also a Moscow city resident, which would give both Moscow and Idaho representation on the Board. (Currently there are 3 board members from WA and 1 from Idaho)

OK, here goes Jeff...

As there is no precedent, and I am acting in what I believe to to be the best interests of the group, we have now had a vacancy on our Board of Directors for over two months. For whatever reason, we have been unable to vote on Ethan's nomination. There has been discussion on this issue, nothing but positive things said on Ethan's behalf, but no action taken.

I am, therefore, appointing Ethan to the position on an interim basis.

I will propose at our next meeting that the Chairman of the Board of Directors be allowed to appoint interim members after a vacancy has not been filled for 45 days. Furthermore, I will propose that if a member is appointed to an interim position and no formal vote is held in the following 45 days, that interim position shall become permanent.

If anyone has a problem with this, feel free to hit me with both barrels.

Just an update, no one on the board took issue with the interim appointment of Ethan and in fact we both formalized this process and finally were able to take the time and get Ethan all official and stuff.
